Politico-Military Panel - Governor/Ambassador James Gilmore, LT. General Keith Kellogg, Michael O'Hanlon, and Ambassador Bill Taylor
The first panel's discussion was around the topic of Politico-Military implications from Russia's actions against Ukraine.
Moderator: Governor/Ambassador Jim Gilmore - was the Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Co-operation (OSCE) and 68th Governor of Virginia.
Panelist: LT. General Keith Kellogg (AFPI): is a highly decorated retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General, serves as co-Chair of the Center for American Security at America First Policy Institute. Most recently, he served as the National Security Advisor to Vice President Mike Pence.
Michael O'Hanlon (Brookings): is a senior fellow and Director of Research in Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institution, where he specializes in U.S. defense strategy, and use of military force, and American national security policy.
Ambassador Bill Taylor (USIP): is the vice president, Russia and Europe at the U.S. Institute of Peace. He served as the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine from 2006-2009. In 2019, he served as charge d'affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.
