Idealism Rooted in Realism - The U.S.-South Korea Alliance: Roundtable with Ambassador Harry Harris

Idealism Rooted in Realism - The U.S.-South Korea Alliance

Our recently returned Ambassador to South Korea, Admiral Harry Harris, is no stranger to tensions in the Pacific. Prior to his appointment, he served as Admiral of the U.S. Pacific Fleet and as Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command. Drawing wisdom from his experience, Ambassador Harris grappled with a number of issues facing the region including the mounting nuclear threat of North Korea. In our recent Roundtable, Ambassador Harris discussed nuclear security risks, the complex relationships in the region and his role as Ambassador to one of the United States' most important allies.
