State of Religious Freedom and Women in Diplomacy

Former U.S. Ambassador for International Religious Freedom Suzan Johnson Cook joins podcast host Ambassador Jim Rosapepe to discuss the state of religious freedom around the world, the role of non-government organizations in religious matters, and the role of women in diplomacy.

 

Ambassador Suzan Johnson Cook served as U.S. Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom from 2011 to 2013. Prior to her service, she served as the senior pastor and CEO of the Bronx Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in New York City. She was also the founder and president of Wisdom Women Worldwide Center. In 1993, Ambassador Johnson Cook was a White House Fellow on the Domestic Policy Council where she advised President Bill Clinton on a range of issues including homelessness, violence and community empowerment.

Ambassador Jim Rosapepe served as U.S. Ambassador to Romania from 1998 to 2001 and is a member of the CAA Board of Directors. He currently is Chairman and CEO of Patuxent Capital Group LLC and serves in the Maryland State Senate.
