Germany, the Refugee Crisis and the European Union

Former U.S. Ambassador to Germany John Emerson joins podcast host Ambassador Jim Rosapepe to discuss German politics, the European Union and the refugee crisis.

 

Ambassador John B. Emerson served as U.S. Ambassador to Germany from 2013 to 2017. Prior to his service he was President of Capital Group Private Client Services, one of the world's largest investment management firms. Ambassador Emerson served on President Clinton's senior staff from 1993 to 1997 as Deputy Director of Presidential Personnel and subsequently as Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs where he was the President's liaison to United States' governors.

Ambassador Jim Rosapepe served as U.S. Ambassador to Romania from 1998 to 2001 and is a member of the CAA Board of Directors. He currently is Chairman and CEO of Patuxent Capital Group LLC and serves in the Maryland State Senate.
