Ambassador of Costa Rica to the United States Dr. Roman Macaya joins podcast host Ambassador Jim Rosapepe to discuss Costa Rica's unique history, climate change and migration.

Ambassador Roman Macaya served as Ambassador of Costa Rica to the United States from 2014 to 2018. He has developed a multidisciplinary career as a scientist, businessman, advocate, politician and academic. A chemist and biochemist by training, Ambassador Macaya has led R&D teams in the fields of biotechnology and biomedical research, worked in the health care sector, and been involved in Costa Rican politics.

Ambassador Jim Rosapepe served as U.S. Ambassador to Romania from 1998 to 2001 and is a member of the CAA Board of Directors. He currently is Chairman and CEO of Patuxent Capital Group LLC and serves in the Maryland State Senate.
